FAITH IN UNBELIEVING SPACES

How do you keep burning when everything around you is cold?

Dear Friend, Let’s start here: month 3 act 1 scene 12. What a wonder, but we are here and we are glad……

You know ehn, Your environment does something to you. Let’s not pretend.

It either sharpens your convictions or numbs them.

It either draws out your belief or drains it.

It either becomes a womb for your fire or a womb for your fear.

There are some rooms that make you question the boldness you once had. Some offices where sharing your spiritual convictions feels like walking on hot coal.

Some family homes where the moment you speak about what God said,

they start talking about what your life looks like.

Let’s not lie believing gets harder when you’re surrounded by unbelief.

Not everyone is attacking your faith. But many are ignoring it. And somehow, that silence is louder.

Environments can be spiritually thick. They can be hard to walk through. Hard to be honest in. Hard to grow inside.

Because when you’re the only one carrying hunger in a room full of comfort, You start to wonder if you’re too deep.

Too intense.

Too spiritual.

But I came to remind you:

You are not too much.

You are an answer.

You are a carrier.

You are a witness.

“They don’t believe but I still burn.”

That’s what it feels like, right?

To be the only one waking early for prayer.

The only one repenting for things others are laughing about. The only one carrying vision while everyone else is vibing.

And when the fire gets lonely, it starts feeling unnecessary.

But listen: Your environment didn’t give you the fire.

So it cannot be the one to sustain it.

Only the God who gave you the instruction

Can give you the grace to keep walking with Him

even when the ground under your feet is dry and cracked.

 

Let’s talk Abraham.

“By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went even though he did not know where he was going.”

— Hebrews 11:8

No road map. No welcome committee. No culture of belief. Just a voice and obedience.

Abraham didn’t ask for support. He followed the call. And while others were building empires, Abraham was building altars.

Because for him, obedience wasn’t situational it was sacred. That’s the kind of faith God is inviting you into: One that is not sustained by sight or social approval, But by the weight of what He said. What to do when your environment doesn’t believe: Create a spiritual routine that defies the silence.

Wake up and make room for heaven, even if your roommates or coworkers roll their eyes.

Don’t wait for the room to believe. Let them overhear your prayer. Let them smell the incense of your worship. Anchor yourself in Word and memory. Go back to what God said. Revisit your journals. Re-read the vision.

If the environment is loud with doubt, get louder with the truth. Stay consecrated, not comfortable. You weren’t called to blend in. You were called to break ground. Keep your spirit sharp. Your altar fed. Your discernment clean.

Build a parallel reality. Don’t let the room define your rhythm. You can’t live by the weather forecast when you carry your own climate.

Don’t curse the environment too quickly.

Yes, it’s hard.

Yes, they don’t get it.

Yes, you feel like the only one.

But hear this, God places fires in deserts for a reason And just like Moses had to turn aside to see the bush burn,

Somebody in your environment is about to turn aside because you did not burn out.

What if you were placed there not to fit in, but to stand out? You may not have the most supportive environment. But you have the most supportive God. And where faith is present, heaven moves.

So even if your job, your school, your family or your church culture feels dry Let your life be a burning bush.

Not consumed.

Not complaining.

Just on fire. And when they come close, they’ll realize: You weren’t burning to prove a point. You were burning because God lit you Himself.
