Dear Friend,

Let me bring it close.

You see this girl? You know the girl now, She didn’t want to disobey God oh.

No o. She loved God. She was fasting. Praying. Journaling. But every time God gave her a prompting, she brought out her calculator. She asked, “But what if I’m wrong?” “What if it’s not wise?” “What if people talk?”“What if it costs too much?”

And before she knew it, her yes turned into a maybe. Her obedience became a negotiation. Her trust started to wear the cloak of delay.

Guess what? She didn’t disobey because she hated God. She disobeyed because she was being too careful.

This final week, we are confronting something that sounds holy but might be the very reason why you’re stuck: CAREFULNESS.

WHY GOD PREFERS OBEDIENCE OVER STRATEGIC WISDOM

“But Samuel replied: Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22 (NIV)

Saul made what looked like a noble decision. He spared what was “good.” He had a strategy. A better idea. Something more “valuable” to present to God.But the problem? It wasn’t what God asked for.

And that’s where many of us live. In the place of good intentions without God’s instruction. We fast when He said speak. We wait when He said go. We give Him activity when all He wanted was alignment.

We are sacrificing, yes. But are we obeying?

THE DANGEROUS CAMOUFLAGE OF CAUTION

Let’s unpack it:Carefulness is often fear in disguise. It’s fear dressed as “discernment.” We’re scared of failure, so we call it “wisdom.

Carefulness is control. We want God to explain before we obey.

We ask Him to show us the end before we take the first step. But the Kingdom doesn’t run on explanations. It runs on trust.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5

Carefulness is comfort masquerading as clarity. You’re waiting to “feel peace” before you obey meanwhile your assignment has deadlines in the spirit. We call it process, but it’s actually paralysis.

Let’s call it what it is: Delayed obedience is disobedienceFAITH WALKS WHILE BLIND

“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.” Hebrews 11:8 (KJV)

Let that sink in. He went out not knowing where he was going. No GPS. No timeline. No promise of applause. He moved without seeing. He obeyed without knowing. If God told you to “go” today, would you move, or would you ask for details first?

See, clarity is not always the sign of God’s voice.Peace is not always present before obedience.Sometimes, faith walks on water with wind howling and waves roaring.

THE REAL COST OF PLAYING SAFE

When you’re too careful:

  • You miss moments.
  • You forfeit territory.
  • You prolong processes God wanted to finish quickly.
  • You give the enemy room to whisper.

Obedience is Better Than Carefulness:

Obedience is God’s love language. It is proof that you trust Him beyond your senses. It is better to fall in obedience than to stand tall in analysis.Because the truth is:Carefulness didn’t die for you. Obedience did.

Let me tell you what playing safe never did:

  • It never parted a Red Sea.
  • It never brought down Jericho walls.
  • It never healed a bleeding woman.
  • It never raised Lazarus from the grave.

But obedience? Obedience moves the heart of God.Obedience pulls the supernatural into the natural.

Obedience shifts destinies, births nations, and unlocks promises. So, dear reader, I say to you: This is your permission to stop analyzing your instructions to death.

This is your call to stop sanitizing your yes. This is your charge to obey boldly.

“If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land.” Isaiah 1:19

Heaven is not waiting for your calculation. It is waiting for your yes. A trembling yes is still obedience.

Don’t wait until it’s perfect. Don’t wait until it’s safe.Don’t wait until it makes sense. Just obey.

From the Girl Who Knows, That girl who calculated every “yes” like it was a math problem? Me.That girl who wanted to obey God but needed an emotional safety net, a 5-point backup plan, and two prophetic confirmations? Me again.

That girl who was so careful, she nearly missed the move of God because she wanted to protect herself from looking mad or getting it wrong? Yes. Me.

But here’s the plot twist: Obedience rescued me from myself. And today I stand maybe not with all the answers, But with a heart that says: “Lord, I don’t have to understand. I just want to trust You louder than I fear.”

Because if obedience is madness, Let me be a joyful lunatic in the hands of a trustworthy God. If playing it safe would keep me from walking on water, Then I’d rather sink chasing His voice Than float in a boat that goes nowhere.

So here’s your takeaway, Dear reader:

This series wasn’t just about you. It was about me. It was about us.

It was about every faith walker who has ever tried to play it smart, Only to discover that God is not raising calculators. He’s raising warriors. The boldest obedience starts with trembling hands.

Now go. Obey. Tremble Cry if you must. Be afraid if you need to. But still move. Because obedience is better. And we don’t play safe anymore.

And I will see you in June with a new series.
